## errors.InvalidSettingError

A setting has a value it does not allow.

Usage

``` python
errors.InvalidSettingError(
    setting, value, allowed, *, source, env_var, takes_argument=True
)
```

Raised when the setting resolves, so the message names the source of the value.

## Methods

| Name | Description |
|----|----|
| [__init__()](#__init__) | Name the setting, its value, the source of the value, and every source the setting reads. |

------------------------------------------------------------------------

#### \_\_init\_\_()

Name the setting, its value, the source of the value, and every source the setting reads.

Usage

``` python
__init__(setting, value, allowed, *, source, env_var, takes_argument=True)
```

##### Parameters

`allowed: Sequence[str] | str`
The allowed values, which the message quotes, or a phrase that describes a range.

`source: str`
Where the value came from, as a phrase.

`takes_argument: bool = ``True`
Whether `dd.asset` has a parameter for this setting. `quarantine_dir` has none, so its message names no argument.
